Paying Our Teachers and Staff
Since the Happy Gardens started in 2021 January with less than 10 students and we now have 55 students, it has been not easy paying the teachers and support staff.
I started with two teachers and as the school has been growing rapidly, I was able to add more teachers to the board, and now I’m working with 5 teachers and one cook.
Being that it’s a nonprofit organization school that depends on good wishes and donors’ paying my staff has been not easy and many times has also affected learning and students’ performance because when teachers work for months without any salary income it becomes very difficult because they also have their families, and children that depends on them to feed them.
And once a teacher or teachers teach for one or two months without salary, most of them quite the school to go to schools that they can get paid, it affects the learning of the children hence leads to lack of syllabus coverage and hinder the achievement of goals and objectives set for each and every student.
I want to thank so much the two patrols who stepped in and encourage these teachers in a special way that even if it has been not consistency but the times that they cheated in my teachers, and I has been very happy and more than grateful to them.
I want to thank Lorraine Williams and we can never thank you enough for the food that you donated specifically for the teachers as their Christmas gift in December 21 /2021 through this we can maintain teachers in our school hence the children get quality education.

I want to also thank Jan Ankerstjerne for paying the teacher’s salary in March 10/2022 after almost five months without any salary income while giving their services and ensuring that students are getting a quality education. We can never thank you enough Jan and Lorraine and the rest of the patrols that have been donating in different ways.
Not all the teachers can volunteer to work without salary and help the students, we have had many teachers teaching for months and going due to lack of salary payment and it affects the school performance dramatically and sometimes it forces me to employ untrained teachers to handle the students.
My plea and request are to get the donors who will be able to support our teacher’s salaries and, through monthly salaries we will be able to maintain all our teachers and support staff hence will lead to high-quality education and achievements of all learning goals and objectives of the syllabus.
My biggest desire is for the Happy Gardens nonprofit organization school students to get high and quality education just like any other child in the world because they all have a right to quality education despite the poverty and difficult situations in their parents and guardians’ homes.
I pray that one day I get the donors to build this children’s orphanage where they can live in a safe and clean environment and continue to get quality education.
May God bless those who are reading this blog
